According To Hindu Mythology It is Said That Lord Krishna Used To Play Pranks With Radha And Her Friends.At The Time  Of  Holi Lord Krishna Used To Put Dark Colors On The Faces Of Radha And Her Friends.

On This Occassion Boys Of Nandgaon , Mathura Come To Play Holi With The Women And Girls Of Barsana And Girls Of Barsana Welcome Them By The Stout Sticks To Beat Them.

This Year This Festival Is Celeberated On 21st March 2013 and 22nd March 2013 At Radha Rani Temple.

Christmas , rather then a holiday it’s an festive event .It is one of the main Christian festivals celebrated in each and every part of the world with great enthusiasm .This festival is not only celebrated by catholic people but also by non Christian people. It falls on December 25 to serve as a memorial to the birth of Jesus Christ. In India, this day is also known as “Bada Din”. In India every religious people celebrate this festival as their own festival by throwing parties, by visiting restaurants ,disco and other entertainment places and in Hindus people arrange marriages on this auspicious day. The practice of putting up the special decoration on Christmas is the hallmark of this event. Customary people used to light candles in the church and do prayers for the well being of their families.

Popular modern customs are exchange of gifts, Christmas carol, greeting cards, church celebration and various decorations including Christmas tree, lights, mistletoe and garlands. People used to make special and delicious dishes like Christmas cake. Several similar mythological figures, known as Father Christmas and Santa Claus are associated with bringing gifts to children during the Christmas season. Santa Claus is famous among children. DIWALI 2012

Diwali is one of the biggest festival of India celebrated with great pomp and show in almost every part of the country, also known as Deepawali, falls on the Kartik Hindu month. As the word depicts it is also known as the festival of lights.

Preparations
Entrances are made enlighted with fire lamps and made colorful with lovely traditional Rangoli designs to welcome the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity. People used to prepare plenty type of dishes , sweats. People used to distribute gifts to others and children play with colorful crackers and fireworks. People meet with their relatives and wishes them Happy Diwali.People decorate their houses and shops with lights and flowers.

Traditions
On Diwali festival people do the Laxmi – Ganesha worship for the welfare and success in the life. As Goddess Laxmi is known as Goddess of wealth so people pray her for the increment in their wealth. Ganesha is known as the First God in Hindu mythology so people worship him for their welfare in the life.

Story:

As per Hindu Mythology, It is mention that when Lord Rama returned back to Ayodhya after 14 years long journey with his wife Sita and younger brother Laxman then people of Ayodhya en-lighted the fire lamps in their houses and all the streets to welcome the lord and   King of Ayodhya after that Lord Rama and Goddess Sita put prayers for Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi.

This Year Depawali is scheduled on 13th November 2012 .

DHANTERAS 2012

Dhanteras Festival, also known as Dhantrayodashi or Dhanwantari Triodasi, falls on the auspicious thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha in the Hindu month of Kartik (October/November). In the word Dhanteras, “Dhan” stands for wealth. On Dhanteras Goddess Laxmi is worshiped to provide prosperity and well being. Hence Dhan Teras holds a lot more significance for the business community. Preparations Entrances are made colorful with lovely traditional Rangoli designs to welcome the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity. To indicate her long-awaited arrival, small footprints are drawn with rice flour and vermilion powder all over the houses. Lamps are kept burning all through the nights.

Traditions On Dhanteras Hindus consider it good to purchase gold or silver articles or at least one or two new utensils. People conducted “Laxmi-Puja” in the evenings when tiny Diyas of clay are lighted to drive away the shadows of evil spirits. “Bhajans”-devotional songs- in praise of Goddess Laxmi are also sung. Mythology Reason According to the horoscope of sixteen year old son of King Hima was doomed to die of a snake bite on the fourth day of his marriage. On that particular day his young wife did not allow his husband to sleep by saying stories and singing melodious songs. And she put the heap of gold ornaments and lot of silver coin on the entrance of his husband room and lighted lamps all over the place. As per the Hindu mythology God of death is ‘Yama’, he arrived as per the declarations in the form of snake but his eyes blinded by the dazzle of those lights and also not able to enter the chamber of the price because of those ornaments and snake climbed on the top of the heap of the ornaments and coins and sat there whole night and continuing listening melodious songs. In the morning snake went away and wife saved the life of her husband. Since then this day of Dhanteras came to be known as the day of “Yamadeepdaan” Celebrations Dhanteras is celebrated with full enthusiasm to welcome the big Hindu Festival Deepawali. In North India children use to play with crackers and enlighten there house. In villages cattle are adorned and worshiped by farmers as they form the main source of their income. Ram Barat is one of the most popular festival of Agra.Ram Barat of Agra is known as the most popular Rambarat in north India.This is a 3 days festival celebrated with the great pop and show whole city is decorated like a bride.

Day 1: Ram Barat is initiated from the Mankameshwar Temple of Lord Shiva and roaming in the major part of the city where Lord Rama,Bharat,Laxman and Shatrugan give there divine vision from the decorated elephants.People from the city of Agra and other neighboring  cities stand both the sides of the roads to see the amazing decoration of the barat and to see the one vision of the lord.

Day2: On the second day barat reach the Janakpuri, there is a one region of the city which is assigned as a janakpuri for the 3 days of celebration. As per hindu mythology it is mentioned that Goddess Sita better half of Lord Rama lived in this place as a daughter of King Janak.This place is fully decorated with the lights and decorations.Where the actual marriage is conducted between Lord Rama and Goddess Sita.

Day3: This is a last day of the whole festival where all the people take blessing from the almighty God and in the night Lord Rama take away the Goddess Sita as the hindu marriage customary said it “vidaai” and come back to Mankaneshwar Temple.

This year Janakpuri is decorated in the famous area of Agra and the center of Agra Jaipur House
